Photo of Gaby Schmidt with camera

My name is Gaby Schmidt. Photography is my passion.

I was born in 1959 and live in Düsseldorf, Germany. My father first lent me his camera when I was 10 years old; photography has been part of my life ever since.

After studying graphic design and working in a publicity department for many years, I have finally made this passion my profession. My focus lies on nature and architecture, pure photography without Photoshop.
According to my motto "visualising the inconspicuous in the moment" I see my surroundings the way they really are: beautiful or ugly, exciting or boring, according to the point of view.

To capture the right moment, whether it is in the garden at home or 20000 kilometres away, is always a thrilling challenge for me. Experiencing nature and capturing moments the way they are, be it in the mountains, the oceans or the cities of this world: that is what it important to me!

I always enjoy and look forward to communicating with other people and hearing their interpretations.
